2008 has been an exciting year for Ruslan.
He performed Arnold Schoenberg's Pierrot Lunaire with artists from the Mariinsky Theatre in the world premiere of "Diana Vishneva-Beauty in Motion" at the Orange County Performing Arts Center.
5th anniversary recital (with pianist Mary Au) on the LACMA Sundays Live Chamber Music Concert Series, with live broadcast on the radio and via internet.
Performances on the L'Ermitage Performing Arts Series, Austin Chamber Ensemble Concert Series, Crocker Art Museum Classical Concert Series, Schoolhouse Music Evenings Chamber Music Series, NACUSA 75th Anniversary Celebration Series, Music at St. Luke's Concert Series, LACC Noontime Concert Series, First UUC of San Diego Concert Series, North County Chamber Music Concert Series, Alto Polis Outreach Series, Harris Concert Series, Ivory Tower Concert Series and Classical Music Encounters of Orange County.
Concerto performances with Maestro Frank Fetta, Richard Taylor and Dan Ratelle.
Recitals and performances with orchestras as winner of the 17th MPE International Competition in various MPE Artist Concerts performing in Berkeley, Palos Verdes and Sacramento, CA, and Waco and Austin, TX for various MPE chapters as well as in the 2008 MPE Convention in Jacksonville, Florida. These performances were enthusiastically received.
His students Winn Cui, Rochelle Lewis, Andrea Yu and Margaret Zhou won top prizes in various competitions. To read more, please click here.

Congratulations to Ruslan’s 15-year old student Andrea Yu for winning First prize in the MTAC VOCE State Competition, Intermediate Strings. Andrea will be performing in the MTAC 2009 Convention in Santa Clara, CA on July 5, 2009.
Congratulations to Ruslan's 17-year old student Margaret Zhou for her recent performances of Shostakovich Concerto No. 1 with the La Jolla Symphony as First Prize winner of the La Jolla Symphony Young Artist Competition.
In addition to working on the production phase of "Image" CD, we are currently in search of a new American sonata for cello and piano.
